Be An Ambassador of Kindness
The goal of education is more than just learning to read and write. Education should provide the foundation for knowing who I am as an individual, who we are collectively, where we have been and where we are going and most importantly how I can find my purpose in the world around me.
The Ambassadors of Kindness curriculum is a fully integrated curriculum that provides a foundation for building skills of reading and writing. It does so while building awareness of values and virtues, and building an understanding of history and social studies that reflects an awareness of our Global Citizenry.
Content is presented in an interactive way so that students can engage from a personal viewpoint. Content for younger children uses pedagogical stories, interactive coloring books, and developmentally aligned content.
Contents is designed to be accessible to all types of learners, especially our high creatives who often get labeled with ADHD.
THE HISTORY OF HUMANITY
The Ambassador's of Kindness curriculum provides a walk through history, fully integrated into concepts related to character, integrity, honor and purpose. A SEL curriculum need not be separate from relevant content, but fully integrated into a deep understanding of Humanity.
PERSONALLY RELEVANT & DEVELOPMENTALLY APPROPRIATE
The Ambassadors of Kindness curriculum provides a foundation understanding how the consciousness of children changes. Young children see the world more simply. Starting to work with those budding concepts and helping them to see themselves as good is the foundation for building World Citizens.
We don't need to focus on skill building through meaningless content. We can build the skills of reading and writing through powerfully meaningful stories and activities.
Building character is the foundation for our global society. If you are looking for a new SEL curriculum for your school or some activities for your homeschool, please check out our curriculum packages.

The Ambassadors of Kindness Alphabet of Vices
This is the finel book in the series for a reason. It touches on issues of corruption, addiction, and violence. These mature topics are what students need to examine if they are to become consciously aware of what is right and wrong. It used to be that we believe everyone was born with a conscience, and perhaps that is true, but with the level of exposure to violence in mediat, video games, and simply in society, our youth are being bombarded with signals that these acts of evil are normal and acceptable. Our children are losing their sensitivity for a reason. They are becoming numb on purpose. We don't want them to have to take on the weight of the world, but we want them to be able to chose right from wrong. The primary purpose of the Alphabet of Vices, is to help our youth become aware of and further develop their own inner guidance--their conscience. Learn more.
a note on the Virtues Project
The Virtues Project has been in operation for nearly 27 years. Founded in 1991 by Linda Kavelin-Popov, Dr. Dan Popov and John Kavelin, the Virtues Project is employed in schools across the world and has been recognized by the United Nations as a "model global program for families of all cultures".
From the Virtues Project Website:
The Virtues Project empowers individuals to live more authentic meaningful lives, families to raise children of compassion and integrity, educators to create safe, caring, and high performing learning communities, and leaders to encourage excellence and ethics in the workplace. It has inspired and mobilized people worldwide to commit acts of service and generosity, to heal violence with virtues.
For the Community House Network programming, we will employ some of the framework of the Virtues Project and utilize some of the child and family friendly resources. The Virtues Project utilized five strategies:
1. Speak the Language of Virtues: Language has the power to discourage or to inspire. Using virtues to acknowledge, guide, correct and thank awakens the best within us.
2. Recognize Teachable Moments: Recognizing the virtues needed in daily challenges helps us to become lifelong learners open to the lessons of character.
3. Set Clear Boundaries: Boundaries based on respect and restorative justice create a climate of peace, cooperation, and safety in our homes, schools, and communities.
4. Honor the Spirit: We sustain our vision and purpose by integrating virtues into our activities, surroundings, celebrations, and the arts.
5. Offer Companioning: Being deeply present and listening with compassionate curiosity guides others to find clarity and to create their own solutions. It supports healing and growth.
